Orientation (speculations)

So, it's crazy how none of us get to find out the actual dates of orientation until late May-mid June... esp for those of us who are planning to have a busy summer!

Last year's dates... I believe (copied from a CC thread from last year)

101 July 11-13
102 July 18-20
103 July 24-26
104 July 27-29
105 August 2-4
106 August 9-11
107 August 15-17
108 August 21-23
109 August 24-26
110 August 29-31

To compare dates to this year, I think you could just subtract a day.

Obviously, UCLA will probably change the dates somewhat depending on what works for them, but I think this gives us a good idea of when things will be.

wow i didnt know there were so many sessions. thats good to know that there are so many opportunities to attend orientation

did n e one get that e-mail?

UCLA Office of Summer Sessions and Special Programs

Dear New Bruin,

Congratulations on your admission to UCLA. We want to extend you a warm welcome as you continue your academic career at one of the premier postsecondary institutions in the United States.

With approximately 38,000 students, a vibrant Student Union, a beautiful campus, and hundreds of weekly events, UCLA offers unparalleled opportunities to undergraduates. Through the orientation sessions organized by the university, you can learn a great deal about student life. To register and attend one of these sessions, please visit the orientation site.

UCLA Summer Sessions and Special Programs offers you the chance to become even more familiar with campus life and academic expectations. As an admitted UCLA student, you are qualified to enroll in any one of hundreds of summer classes and institutes. These courses will allow you to earn UCLA units while exploring your major, fulfilling GEs, or learning about something entirely new. In the process, you will learn your way around campus and get a better grasp on what is expected of UCLA students. You can even choose to live in the residential halls.

For a complete list of our programs, please visit the Summer Sessions Web site. Financial aid is available to incoming students! You can enroll online with your nine-digit student ID # via URSA. If you have questions or would like to discuss the summer program, you can contact us at 310-825-4101 or info@summer.ucla.edu.

Sincerely,
