So I'm taking both Sessions A and C this summer to get a few classes out of the way, and every orientation conflicts with my classes. I can miss those classes a day or two but I'd rather not, so does anyone know if it's possible to ditch orientation for a few hours to attend the class (like during break/lunch) or are you in a group the whole time?

hmmm doesn’t freshmen use FSP or w.e. the freshmen program is called for the summer? most of the time for orientation you’ll be with your group the whole time but talk to your OC and maybe he’ll let you go to class or something… if that doesn’t work just sneak away… :)

if ur in CL&S, then orientation isnt really necessary

…i’d say doing that much summer school IS your orientation. sheesh…

-you’re already enrolled in classes so you know how that works
-you’re already living in a dorm and eating in the dining halls
-only thing is, i’m not sure when you sign up for fall classes if you don’t actually go to an orientation

so… email the orientation program, and see what they recommend.

One of my friends didn’t sign up for orientation, and she didn’t end up registering until the last orientation session was over. She didn’t get like, her dream sched, but it wasn’t disastrous, either. Plus, you’ll be ahead with your summer credits, so if I were you, I’d skip out on orientation altogether.

i think you can find a way to make it work. the third day of orientation nothing happens anyway (beisdes 9 am enrollment with your counselor).
