<p>Everyone chooses classes around the same time in August (online). Apparently, since you register at orientation, those who go to the earlier orientations will get to choose first. But I don't think this really affects you as long as you go in June. Going to orientation in September, however, has it's disadvantages; you don't get to talk to your advisors before you choose your classes, and according to some people on this board, you are in the last group of students to choose classes. Correct me if I'm wrong.</p>

<p>That is messed up, if going later screws you over for registering for classes. Has anyone found information veriftying this yet? In the packet I got from Revelle it said that you can talk to advisers and such, but it didn't mention anything about sessions affecting your registering for classes.</p>
<p>Well I can't remember where I got this info (sorry!) but I know I saw it somewhere. Also, there is another thread on this board that talked about it. However, since freshmen classes are usually much bigger than upper-division classes, I'm sure that WHEN you register won't be a problem.</p>
<p>I actually read somewhere that choice of orientation date has no effect on choosing classes, cuz everyone does it at the same time August 22-25</p>

<p>In fact, I think each person is assigned a specific time and date to register for classes, and we are expected to register online for classes.</p>
