So on my UCLA Orientation confirmation (101), it says my arrival time and check in time is at 8 am.

I don't know if it's the same for everyone, and I could only schedule a flight that would get me to UCLA at around no later than 10 or 11, both before noon.

I checked on the orientation website and it said I should be there no later than 5 pm, so is it okay if I arrive some hours later than my check in time?

Yah it is fine, but you will be missing meeting your group and a few meetings. You could arrive the night before and stay over for a fee and be there for the beginning, but it is up to you.

where do we meet to check in?

It’s probably too late to schedule an early arrival, but yeah, arriving a couple hours late should be okay.

For check in:
- if you’re arriving on time, check in is near Covel, outside of Sproul Hall. If you’re driving, you’ll park in Lot 3, then a shuttle will take you over to where you need to check in.
- if you’re arriving late, come to the Orientation Office (technically called the New Student and Transitions Program) in 201 Covel Commons, and someone there can help you.

thanks @UCLA2014.
It says the bed sheet and pillow will be provided to us. So we need to bring our own blanket?

Housing provides a sort of thin blanket, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you want. There’s a thermostat in your room though, so you could just use that, and nights in LA aren’t too cold in the first place.
