Has anyone picked their orientation date? We are going June 12/13.

We are going May 29/30. Looking forward to it!

Cannot pay airfare again after top honors weekend. Gonna skip that

@momwantstoknow - As has been discussed, but just to reaffirm for everyone, if the student attended Top Scholars Weekend then going to Orientation isn’t really that important. It is nice for a lot of the kids, but a lot of repetition.

Is the information covered at orientation the same as was covered during Destination Tulane? Just wondering whether to sign up for the parent’s session or skip it. My daughter is attending June 12 - 13 also.

@Oldbear14 - Orientation is more detailed than what is presented at DT, and of course your D gets to register for classes. But if you are only asking about the parent info sessions, they also post that information online after Orientation is complete. So it is totally up to you if you want to attend those sessions, do something else in NOLA, or just send your D down there alone. You can easily get the same information at any time. The thing you can’t get is the chance to ask your own questions (which you can do through email later if needed) and meet other parents, which is often very helpful and pleasant.

@oldbear14 I am going down whith my son (any excuse to spend a few days in NOLA) but I didn’t sign up for any of the parent sessions. He’s getting excited about it now that we are a month away!

We are going 5/29-30, and we did sign up for the Parents’ Session.
