definitely not

Can my parents attend Orientation with me?

On the first day of Orientation, there is a parent orientation program sponsored by the assistant dean for freshmen. Enclosed with this brochure is the special invitation for your parents. While we strongly encourage your parents to take an active interest in your college career, Orientation is a three-day session designed to introduce you to your new life as a CAS student. Once your Summer Orientation has concluded, we encourage you to return home and share your experience with your parents.

Summer orientation - a lot of kids had parents along. They attended the parent session then spent the rest of the time seeing the city.

Welcome Week/Move in - most kids have parents, and often siblings, along to help with move in. There are parent events on the first day and then most leave.
