Orientation

Hi everyone, I’m going to Orientation this weekend (June 18-20) and I was looking over the booklet that BC sent and noticed they want the registration worksheet in the Academic Planning Workbook to be filled out beforehand. Maybe it’s me, but I find it somewhat confusing to do without an advisor (I’m trying to coordinate the Honors Program, the Pre-med track, an English major and a Spanish minor). I was wondering if there is anyone here who went to the first Orientation session and could share how much the advisors expected to be filled out on that sheet at home. Thanks :)

And any other comments about Orientation would be much appreciated as well! :)

I just got back from orientation. On the second day you will break into small groups and meet with your advisors. Your advisors will then help you select your courses. On the third day you actually register for the courses on a computer with an advisor. It is like a race because classes fill up fast. You MUST have some alternate courses. I couldnt get two courses that I planned on getting because they were filled up.

The rest of orientation was pretty good. All of the days are planned out for us so there is not much free time. When we got back to our dorms at night we got changed and went to dance parties in other dorms. That was fun. Most people didnt get much sleep.

Thanks for the info :) I guess my question is, did you have that worksheet all filled out prior to orientation or is that basically what you work on on the second day with the advisor?

you work on the worksheet on the second day with your advisor.

Orientation is fun....thats all you need to know.
