Orientation?

So sorry if this has already been asked, but can someone explain the level of help we get in choosing classes for incoming freshman? Should i come with a list of options? What if I’m not totally set on a major? I just want to know how prepared to be.

There is mandatory personal advising.

your counselor is an upper-division UCLA student working in orientation for a summer job. They have received some training as well as the list of recommended classes based on majors. So you will get some guidance based on this and their personal experiences. I’d expect they also have some staff from the college advising staff around.

Bottom line, though, the better prepared you are in advance the more you’ll be able to take advantage of the resources and ask appropriate questions.
