Hey guys, does anyone know when is UCLA's orientation??? I have to tell my boss like a month in advance because i'll be outfor a week...so PLEASE help me out here!!!

Information won't be sent out until the end of May, according to the admissions office.

But there are 11 sessions throughout summer...so you'll be able to have at least a month in advance for most of the sessions :)

are these sessions going to be the same?

yeah, all the sessions are the same. Except the sooner you go, the sooner you get to choose your classes. I went to the first one (101) so I basically got first pick of all the classes. I heard the people that went to the ones near the end didn't have much of a choice with classes and got stuck with really bad schedules.

I guess the only good thing about going to a later one is that the orientation counselors are better prepared, and everything flows more smoothly. A couple of my friends are counselors, and that's what they said.

ok...so its better to pick the first session? like i just got my admission decision on march 29th...and ucla told me orientation is gonna be in june...so you think i should pick the first date available?

yeah, pick the first date available. I suggest you check your email like on the hour the day sign ups for orientation is out.... because the first two sessions were filled in a few hours.

k, thanks

If I remember, they alternate speakers and counselors for every other (or close to) orientation. But the material or at least the objective is more or less the same.

k, thanks for your help
