Orientation

Anyone know when they will be sending out the stuff for orientation? or the usual date it comes online?

Also, have you all been looking at classes or anything?

I'm thinking

Engl 1102
Math 2250 (Cal 1 assuming i'm gettin a 3 on AP Cal)
Econ 2105 (Macro-econ)
CS 1301
MUSI 2060 - History of Rock and Roll

Check out: http://www1.admissions.uga.edu/12_fy_orientation.html. According to the site, they will post more info in early May--so that means you should hear more about orientation soon.

I haven't heard anything yet. I'm so anxious! I really want to get into the first session, but so does everybody else.

I've thought about classes (and basically already chose my teachers). I hope I get a good schedule! I'm thinking intro psych (I've been wanting to take a psych class since forever, but my high school schedule was never able to fit it), a science, a math, the first history, and a language.

yeah I've been checking the admissions site pretty much everyday!

Update: as of May 2nd the Summer Semester Orientation registration is online. I bet we'l see the fall popping up in a few days.

how do we look at classes being offered?

you can use the UGA bulletin (http://bulletin.uga.edu/) to look at the classes that are required for your major and then look at http://www.reg.uga.edu/or.nsf/preview/schedule%20of%20classes for the schedule.

history of rock and roll is hard. that is fact.

Well I've been playing classical piano for over 8 years so i have a very good working knowlege of theory, and play guitar so I love music and I'm willing to to do the work. From what I hear it should be challenging, but interesting.

Space, You should be fine with rock and roll then. I took the course here and it was challenging, but it's certainly not impossible. I played flute for 9 years before college, and I know that my knowledge of music certainly helped. Seeing that you're also very music-savvy, you will be well-positioned. It's a fun class; I definitely recommend taking it!

awesome, thanks for the input

To keep the thread going: Still only summer orientation signup online.

Well it came up today but they took it down cause it was real buggy. Supposedly it'l be fixed tommorow.
