I have read the orientation thread posted by missmuff and almost everyone suggested that we appointees go to orientation. I went to SS and I have already accepted my offer, so it won’t change my decision or anything. Is it still worth buying the plane ticket and missing 3 days of school?

I think so. I had already accepted my appointment (the day I got it) and still went. Glad I did, made me even more excited to go (as the same with a certain redhead on here!).

Um, this question was (sort of) answered several times in that other thread. But...

-You'll get little more info on what to expect for I-day.

-It gives you a chance to see what 4-dig life can be like after Recognition.

-It gives you a chance to ask any questions you have about I-day (like through the CCer's Dinner that we'll hopefully be doing again this year).

-I don't know about everyone else, but I am still friends with a few of the guys and gals I met during Orientation.

If you have a chance and can afford to miss school for 3 days, I'd go. But if it would be too difficult to make the trip over here, you don't have to come. It's your choice.

I did not go to orientation. It is not a gigantic loss to miss it, but I'd recommend it.

I had some multi-hour talks with my ALO that helped significantly, so orientation was not a big loss to me.

you should come, bug! :) hehe

I'm thinking I might, muff! If I do, it'll be the same session you're going to.

sweeeeeet =)
