Can anyone give me some insight into what the "colonial inauguration" is like?

its 3 days of pretty much nonstop activities/speakers/shows/dinners etc. its actually a lot of fun even if it is a bit much. if you have any more specific questions you can message me. its hard to just describe without more specific questions though you could check out this to get you started. http://gwired.gwu.edu/ci/index.html

It is a lot of fun. Stay in a dorm, meet classmates, go to info sessions, and go to nice night-time activities. It is very spirit oriented. Go online and register for classes ahead of time- if I remember correctly, they'll let know know when you can register- it was sometime in June, I think.

is fun for students and parents as well. You can choose 5 different sessions, from late June through July, and they will take your ID picture on the spot.
They'll separate the parents and students, you hardly see them till the end of the day, and the session finishes with a laser dhow, cute.

I personally thought Colonial Inauguration was over the top. There was alot of excitement, and people did seem to have fun. However, all the hoopla kind of cheapened the school to me and made me think twice about paying such a high tuition if it was going to be wasted on such fluff.

will they send out a letter or link to register once we deposit? Thanks.

they send you a letter, but also an email with all the dates, etc. Otherwise, go to the main website and write Colonial inauguration 2008 will give you information. It is fun, and yes, there is hoopla, but it warms you up to get you pumped up, before starting. good luck
