Orientation

Do we get to choose the dates for orientation, or do they assign us a date? When do we get this information?

I'm pretty sure you sign up to attend an orientation of your choice on a first-come first-served basis throughout the summer. I'd recommend getting an earlier one since you get to register for your classes earlier then.

you don't want the first one; they are getting the bugs out of the program. You don't want last, as the classes you want will be full...Make sure your parents come and take advantage of all the parent programs...very informative!!

You sign up for the orientation program in late april/early may if i remember correctly online. As already posted, the earlier session the better chance you have of getting the classes you want. People who go later tend to get screwed on class selection.

I kind of disagree of not choosing the first one- I did the first one last year and it went fine. Just do whatever is convenient and early as possible.

Also a little tip...you don't have to go to all (really any) of the programs. It's two days of drudgery through mostly boring lectures...just make sure not to miss the advising/registration on the second day ha
