There are 8 or 9 orientation dates and not all schools are at all dates. It depends on the size of the school as to how many orientation sessions htey take part in. For example, CAS will be at all of them because it's the biggest, SMG might only be at 6 because it has about 400 freshmen coming in.

You're split up only some of the time. During the academic advising parts where you pick your classes, you'll just be with your school. At night and during other activities, you can hang out with whomever you want.

wdf ? orientations are overnight regardless of common ground?

Yeah you do stuff both Thursday and Friday

Eh, I'm not doing Common Ground. Who is paying extra to stay a couple nights at BU? I find Boston hotels ridiculously expensive.

Well I'm planning on staying Wednesday night and the mandatory Thursday night. But yeah, Boston hotels are really expensive.

I'm staying Weds. also but I'm coming from the west coast so I won't be in Boston until 6ish so I guess that means I miss common ground?

I'm staying Tues, Wed, and mandatory Thursday. That's 60 dollars then.
I am going with my friend whom I am rooming with this fall. Can I request same room with him for Orientation? Or are room assignments random?

I was wondering the same thing. But I think that the rooms are random.

I know one of my friends went to orientation with one of her best friends from home and they ended up being able to room together. I think it depends on who shows up at the same time as you.

you mean that's $70. each extra night is $35, not $30. i'm also staying wednesday night so i can attend the city excursion. anyone else going june 25-27?

I think I'll be there early Tuesday. If anyone else's going to the first orientation, I'll be there.
