Orientation?

Does anyone know anything about orientation? What do we do? When do we register for it? Maybe someone could point me in the right direction. Thank you. =)

Make sure you register for orientation as soon as you possibly can. Also, make sure you register for the earliest possible orientation you can, because then you have top choice of classes. Orientation is awesome, apart from the actual orientation. You attend a bunch of nonsense during the day, but then the frats are partying at night. You are told you better not drink during orientation, but I highly recommend you disregard that and go to the parties that are going on. Orientation parties are pretty sweet from the perspective of incoming freshmen (and there’s no way you will get caught. I saw one of my orientation leaders at a party).

Sorry, disclaimer for LSA: make sure you place out of the language requirement during orientation. I put in virtually no effort (hadn’t taken my language since junior year of HS) but still managed to place out. If I had known how much weight the placement test could carry, I would have studied my ass off. I somehow managed to place out of the entire requirement and forgo 4 classes = 1 semester of college = graduating early and saving thousands of $$).

Hey sorry but I had a related question for orientation, is it a big disadvantage if I can’t make it to the june 6th - august 3rd orientations (because I’m an international) and can only come for the fall one? Will many classes still be available?
