We were evaluating costs (tuition/room/board) of different state schools and it seems like OSU is a bargain compared to the others:

OSU - 17115
Miami - 21368
Ohio U - 19476
Kent - 19396

Does OSU clip for other add-ons that I might not be aware of?

that’s what i wasn’t sure of as well b/c 17000 for ohio state is relatively cheap compared to some of the prices nowadays. i don’t know who would want to pay 2500 more a year to go to ou. its a not as good of a school and their sports are iffy. i guess it has a major party scene but ohio state isn’t hurting in that department either. i guess we’ll know in april

Even with scholarships that son is getting from other schools, OSU is coming out ahead or coming close

would you mind posting his stats? has he already been accepted to ohio state?

admitted last week - 3.9 and 28 ACT/SAT 1250 - has normal/standard ECs-participated in ECs because he liked/wanted to-- not an EC grubber!

haha ok. ya i’ve been on eval for so long and it’s driving me crazy. all of my stuff was received in the last week of october

Same here einstein…

Except Ive been on it since late september. 3.8 UW and a 25 act, I figure its the act which is holding me back. Im going for engineering and I really want to make to columbus (instate)

i’m instate as well going for engineering. 3.85 uw 4.08 w and 31 act. if your act math is high even though composite is low you should get in. the math is the most important for engineering

my math is a 28 or 29…, science was around 25

^
That’s how bad i suck at english and reading

I just looked up my official gpa, it is 3.837 UW and 3.887 W
My school offers very very few ap’s and I have taken the hardest courseload available and am now taking a few classes at my local university. Already been accepted to Purdue (which is where I really want to go but OOS tuition is redic., which is why im really hoping I get in (columbus).

idk how you wouldnt get into purdue eng but not ohio state. purdue is a much better school for engineering. i got in at purdue and uiuc for engineering but the $$$$ is unbelievable. i’m hoping for an offer into the engineering honors program at ohio state
