OSU engineering - defer/accept

Perhaps it will be good if this thread focuses on a major, just engineering.

My son deferred: gpa 3.65 act 32. It is just a waiting game until March. In one of the other threads someone said they will ask for current semester grades before reevaluating.
Any other thoughts?
