OSU Fisher vs Tulane Freeman

So.....

Because of money it looks like my college choices will come down OSU, Tulane and South Carolina and I have narrowed it down to osu and tulane.

I am interested in majoring In finance and accounting. Both Freeman and Fisher have pretty good reputations but neither, from what I gather, are close to target/semi-target status for some of the big banks.

Here is kind of the kicker, I like Tulane a little bit more, but I'd probably have to go into a little bit of debt (nothing huge) but if I go to OSU I'd be able to graduate debt free.

I've heard Tulane has a pretty good reputation and actually has somewhat of a presense in NYC and some IBs.

So, any opinions?

Thanks!

Tulane has solid rep for S&T and will place well into energy finance in the Houston/TX area.

I would probably pick Tulane, but it is close. Have you visited the campuses yet? What are your thoughts.

Thanks for your reply.

I have been to both campuses and like them both for different reasons. In the end I guess I prefer OSU’s campus/atmosphere, but Tulane is close behind and I think I would be happy there.

I was reading someone’s thread about breaking into IB from OSU and they said that you have to network your rear off and you could and an IB job from OSU if you really work at it and connect with alums. Which got me to thinking that Tulane supposedly had a lot of people working in high finance with solid jobs. Which made me think it would be easier to reach out.

But I’m not sure if I want to do IB, but the same networking probably applies to all different kinds of finance jobs.

Energy finance sounds very interesting and I wouldn’t mind living in TX out of college.

thanks again
