Hey! So I have heard different things about the requirements for the Honors Program for OSU but am not sure if they are true. Do you have to have a 4.0 GPA and an ACT score above 30? Or are the ranges different? I guess what i’m trying to ask is how truly difficult is it to get into the honors program? Thanks for all your help!

from what i’ve heard, it’s not very difficult

I answered Shasta101’s question on the ask an OSU senior thread, since he(she) posted it there too. The old requirements, circa 2009 when I was a freshmen in honors, were a 30+ ACT and top 10% of your high school class. Since the average ACT of OSU students rises every year, to 28 for this past class, I think the competitiveness of the honors program may have increased somewhat. My younger brother was admitted as a freshmen this past fall, and got into the honors program with a 30 ACT and a 3.9-ish GPA, from a competitive high school, with mostly honors and AP classes.
