Hi, my name is Eric and I was denied admission to the Columbus campus and have opted to attend OSU Newark for my freshman year. I really do not want to go to Newark, but I greatly desire to become a buckeye and want to go to
main campus for my final 3 years. I am just curious, does anyone have experience with OSU Newark, and what was your experience? Also, is there any way that I would be able to transfer to Columbus after my first semester? By the way, I will be living in the dorms and am curious if anyone has experience with them? Thank you all so much, OH!

One of my kids did the same. Actually was surprised he liked it as well as he did. Smaller classes, had good instructors for the most part, several also taught on main. Best part, he saved a lot of money and loan debt is much smaller than his siblings’. Things he didn’t like, lack of social activities (they try, kids just don’t participate so much), one place to eat food. Kids often just drive to Columbus for social action.

Think you have to have at least 30 hours at a branch to transfer. It was a good experience and good place to start college.

He did not live in the dorms but was in Columbus and drove to Newark, so no experience with that.
