OSU scholarship and Honors Program

hi I am a high school student going into my senior year. I just found out how amazing osu is from my friend and it has shot to the top of my list of colleges I want to go to. Unfortunately, the only way I would be able to go there is if I get a huge amount of money from scholarships. I was going to try for the out of state scholarship that they have, but I only meet the requirements for my ranking and gpa, my composite math/reading score is only 20points off from their requirement. I was wondering if that was close enough that I could still be able to be considered for it. I would also like to get into the honors program and would like to know if there is a possibility that i would be invited to join it my stats are:
Gpa: 4.2 (as of December of last year, weighted)
Ethnicity: Asian
Rank: 14 (as of last December)
SAT composite w/writing: 1780
Community service: habitat for humanity (~40 hrs) and def goin to increase by the end of the year
AP classes taken: macroeconomics, biology, physics, calculus, English (2 different courses and tests), and American history
I’m part of the Spanish honor society
I am also going to do an internship with a doctor and a surgeon this year
I used to be in my school’s concert, jazz, and pep band (idk if that helps me or not)
And I would like to be a premed/bio or premed/physics major (if that has anything to do with my consideration)

If anyone can give me an insight on the possibility of me getting into the program that would be great. Also, I was wondering what kind of scholarship comes with the program (if there is any). Thank you!

I’m also a rising senior.

-You may want to get your SAT score up to maybe a 1900-2100. If you’re a medical-related major, you’re going to compete with alot of students who are all academically talented. If you get your SAT up, you’ll stand out from the other applicants.

-If you’re doing a Bio or Physics major along w/ Pre-Med, you should take the SAT Subject Tests for Bio and Physics to show OSU that you’re really serious about applying.

-You should get some safety schools under your belt just in case you aren’t accepted.

Hope this helps and good luck applying!

What’s your unweighted GPA? As it stands now you’ll probably get into the main campus, but the honors program is more difficult and your SAT CR+M, being 20 points below the criteria, is going to hinder you.

Idk my unweighted gpa yet (my school doesn’t give it out to us when we ask for our updated transcripts) I will have to ask when my school starts. Would it also help me if I got into my school’s top ten (it’s my goal for this year)? Also is there anything else I could do other than get higher sat scores since I missed the cutoff date for October and the November one is a week after scholarship applications are due?
