Hey all, was wondering what the chances were of a transfer I currently attend Drexel with a 2.72 GPA, however in the personal statement I explained that i have taken Naval Science classes at UPENN that should transfer over to bring it up to a 2.88. Do they even take the personal statement into account? And do I have chance of getting in? Things I’m involved in and mentioned.

Do they even look for extra curriculars on transfers?

You will get in I promise you, don’t worry about it. It’s not hard to transfer schools once you’re in college, I didn’t even write a personal statement when I transferred I don’t think. What’s your major by the way? And why have you decided to transfer.

I haven’t regretted my choice to come here for a second. Go bucks :)

I’m a history major, I wanted to come here my first year but didnt get in from high school thought I would like Drexel but every student that comes here ends up hating it. I appreciate the support its just the waiting thats excruciating. What is your major/ year?

I’m a Junior (I think? transferring messes these things up) Economics and History Major. Both programs here are top notch. I didn’t get in from high school either, instead went to Miami U and hated it. Transferring wasn’t bad though. I love every second I spend in Columbus. There’s nothing that makes me prouder than Saturdays in the fall down at the Stadium surrounded by 105,000+ proud Buckeyes.

A quick word to the wise though, if you’re not into sports you will be grumpy The school’s entire administration is focused on sports. I love it, most others do too. Occasionally you find the competitive sport hating hippies though that hate it when people wear sports jerseys.

Sorry for the off topic rant, just had a heated discussion about this. Glad to be seeing you here in the Fall hopefully. Go Bucks.

Hey, I’m currently at Drexel too and I got accepted to OSU for fall 2011. I am proud to say that I accepted the offer and I’ll be a buckeye soon. Have you applied yet? And I had a 3.3 GPA and my major is mechanical engineering. Just let me know man. We can meet up or something if you want.

Transfer applicant here, too. 3.22 GPA and International Studies major. How long did you have to wait, Fabio? It’s been 4-5 weeks here and I’m still waiting. :(

I got in as a a transfer with a 2.64 GPA my major is Electrical Engineering also hoping to double with computer science. I still haven’t received my notice in the mail yet to pay the $100.

I’ve yet to even receive any notice ever since my previous post in this thread! But alas, Goucher College accepted me a week ago and landed a $8,500/year scholarship on my lap right away for transferring with 3.2 and above.

Too bad for OSU’s tardiness. Good luck with OSU, Buckeyes. :)

I have a 3.0 GPA and was wondering if I’ll get into Ohio State? I’ll be transferring my Junior year (Fall of 2012) as a Poli Sci major. Please let me know! I’m also in the honors programs, and AGS–which is another type of honors program which stands for Alpha Gamma Sigma. I have letters of recs and work experience.
