<p>Hey Ive narrowed my options to OSU's MAP and USC's bacc/MD. Any insights on helping me choose? </p>

<p>Hey, I’m in a kind of similar situation, having to choose between programs 
So, (being the nerd I am) I checked out the US News and World Report Ultimate Guide to Medical Schools. So let’s see…</p>
<p>USC Keck School of Medicine:
36th for research, 3.64 avg. entering gpa, 11.1 avg MCAT bio, 5.6% acceptace rate</p>
<p>Ohio State University School of Medicine:
30th for research, 31st for primary care, 3.74 avg. entering GPA, 11.2 avg. MCAT bio, 8.7% acceptance rate</p>
<p>Hope it helps! Both are really really good programs, and you’re really lucky to have the choice. </p>

<p>btw I also checked out the ratings and USC is now actually 34 and OSU is 27
Other than that the only up that OSU has is that it’s 7 years if i want it to be…meaning I have enough flexibility in that area.</p>

<p>Internal grades will appear on the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) sent to residency programs in the student’s fourth year."</p>
<p>I would go with USC.</p>
<p>but here are the pros/cons that I see for each program:</p>
<p>USC bacc/MD:</p>
<p>Pros -
Its LA!
great study abroad
prestigious medical school
great undergraduate </p>
<p>Cons -
Medical school - pretty expensive
8 year program (so I can’t graduate early)</p>
<p>OSU Map program:</p>
<p>Pros -
could be completed in 7 or 8 years
prestigious medical school & research (not as expensive as USC)</p>
<p>Cons -
Dorms for first year – not too great
more requirements to stay in the program = more work
not as great of an undergrad as USC </p>
<p>If anyone else can think of any others that should be included… please do not hesitate to add!
So considering all of these pros/cons what program will be best in your perspective?
