I'm going to be a sophmore at SUNY Oswego this fall and I have 36 credits already with a 3.55 overall grade point average. I'm going to bury myself in my studies and go for a 4.0 the next two semesters. I'm looking to transfer to any of the following, Syracuse, Cornell, University of Virginia. My majors Business Administration/Psychology, I'm curious of my odds of getting into those schools..

syracuse you’ll probably get into. cornell has different colleges, so i’m pretty sure business and psych would be in 2 separate ones and i’m not even sure you can double major at cornell, actually. psych is in college of arts and sciences, which is one of the most difficult colleges to transfer into. i don’t know where business is, so i can’t help you there, sorry. uva is one of the best public schools in the country, so i’d imagine you’d have to be great to get in. i think syracuse is your best bet.

you really think if I had a 3.71 overall after this semester I’d still have slim chances of getting into UVA? Their website says the average gpa of transfers is a 3.5…

The average GPA most likely includes both in state and out of state students.
