<p>Middlebury in Vermont is a very very intellectual college, with a very rigorous academic programs. If you like tough classes, cold weather and diversity you should take a look on that as well. Plus, it is one of the few LACs (along with Williams, Amherst and Swarthmore) that really competes the Ivies on quality of education, rigor of curriculum, research and graduate/professional school placement.</p>

<p>You might also check out Reed and UC Santa Cruz, the “liberal arts” college in the UC system – tons of resources, small classes, strong faculty, and the campus is ridiculously beautiful.</p>
