<p>I'm applying ED to Columbia and just found out that someone else from my school is also doing that. So what are the chances that they'd accept two early decision students from the same school??</p>
<p>It depends on how well your school fares with Columbia. Have people been admitted from your school recently? A school near mine sent 5 to Columbia, but my school sent none (one to Yale though).</p>
<p>Last year 2 people got admitted to Columbia from my school but they were regular decision. They accept a smaller amount of students for ED, yeah?</p>
<p>They do accept a (slightly) smaller amount, but nearly half of the freshman class is from ED (44% or somewhere around there) so I would say if 2 got in regular decision from your school then 2 ED (although unusual) is possible.</p>
<p>There are around 15-20 applicants from my school (I’m not one of them), and we usually send at least 5 or so, so don’t worry.</p>
