When you're not intently reading about college life, what other forums do you visit?

Physics Forums, haha.

running forums

The Wreckers Message Board

LiveJournal and the PR boards. I'm usually working on actually important things while on-line, but LiveJournal eats up a lot of time.

the NHD forum. it's for a national history contest.

musicals.net (for musical theatre) and worldofpageantry.com (for marching band)

I guess I don't really visit many forums any more, the ones I did go to regularly I now only go to, to see if they've dissappeared. I used to have my own forums but school has kept me busy. So I have a owned vB license and not much of a use for it.

This may sound like a dumb question, but are forums like Livejournal similar to this(without the college theme)? And if so are they just general forums? Which are the best "general" forums?

No, LiveJournal isn't a bulletin board, but it's incredibly easy to use. It's a blogging website where people can join "communities" about particular topics and post away. You can also post your own journal entries, add other journals to a watch list to follow them daily, and leave comments on entries around the site.

The biggest college board on LiveJournal is "collegehelp," but almost every individual college has their own community as well. I maintain the groups for transfer students (transferstudent), community colleges (commcolleges), SAT Help (sathelp), and campus tour reviews (campusreviews).

There are communities for just about every subject out there, including non-college ones, so go get a free account and try it out. :)

Disboards.com is a cool board about disney world

I go to the iwannagoivy fanclub. PM for more info.
