<p>I guess like the top publics besides UIUC and the top privates besides Northwestern and U of C.</p>
<p>What are you looking to major in? Eastern Illinois University, Illinois State, Northern Illinois University and Southern Illinois University come to mind. Eastern has done pretty well lately in the US News rankings.</p>

<p>What do you want to study? Do you want a large school? Small school? University? LAC?</p>
<p>This is for my daughter. She is going to be a sophomore and she is an LD student--unless she does extremely well on the ACT she probably will not get into schools like UIUC. Her GPA is close to a 3.0</p>
<p>She is going to take the PLAN in the fall. She would like to major in animal sciences (she would like to work with animals)</p>
