other schools?

Hey I am currently a Freshman at Bowling Green State Univeristy in Ohio and looking to get out. My H.S. stats werent that impressive (2.65 GPA 1680 SAT's) and my current college GPA is a 3.25, which im hoping to bring up this semester. I'm a journalism major, and I have been very involved with the campus newspaper, radio staion, and TV station since ive been here. I also have one very good recomendation letter from my journalism professor, and most likely another solid one from my English Professor.

I am planning on applying to the following schools: Boston U. Syracuse, Northeastern, U. Maryland-College Park, UCONN, Hofstra, and Temple. However, im looking for more schools that I have a good chance of getting into, perferably one near(but not necessarly in) a big city, one that has a good journalism program, and one that is geographically diverse and has a strong sports following. Obviosuly a school doesn't need to fit every single one of these criteria, but if someone could suggest some schools that fit some of those that I may have a shot of getting into with my sats, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, Boston University does seem to fit nearly all, if not all, of your criteria.

I did not get into Boston U. as a transfer, because I had below a 3.6 GPA in high school. When I applied I had a 3.83 with around 50 credits.

I think you would get into Hofstra, UConn, and Temple. Not sure about the others. You should definitely apply to UMD, it's an excellent school.

that is what I am worried about, because the first four (BU, Northeastern, Syracuse, Maryland) are my top 4 in no particular order because they all for the most part fit the criteria realy well, but im not sure ill be able to get into any one of them. The other three are more of safetys, but they dont quite fit all of the criteria as well.

anyone else....?
