Also Satellite by Guster

Sex Over the Phone- The Village People
It's hilarious

CC is notorious for poor taste in music =/

I would use scores for movies. Those are generally really well-composed and (if you choose the right ones) quite calming... I like the ones for I Am Legend, The Fountain, Pan's Labyrinth, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero...but I'm sure there's many more good ones that I just haven't heard yet

Seeing as you are a Beatles fan:

Across the Universe by the Beatles is the most calming song by them, imo.

I completely agree with mcb52. I have been listening to The Fountain music (awesome movie by the way) and it just does it for me. Anything with pianos and/or violins also does it for me.

Naturally, I have to agree with Hill's suggestion, as most of the people who know me know why ;).

I'm On A Boat - The Lonely Island
Boombox - The Lonely Island
Jizz In My Pants - The Lonely Island
Lazy Sunday - The Lonely Island
D*ck In A Box - The Lonely Island

While Lonely Island is F****** hilarious its not calming

thanks for the suggestions. I already have a classical playlist and a jazz playlist and this was a more rockish playlist (calmingish rock)

the diamond sea by sonic youth.
