Other types of colleges like Georgetown?

Georgetown is (ideally) the school for me, because it encompasses every aspect I'm looking for. My problem is finding other colleges like Georgetown in the NorthWest or NorthEast.
I need suggestions for colleges between the levels of Pepperdine and Georgetown in these regions I described. I'm completely lost. I do not need a safety, I need matches to Georgetown/slightly below.
Thank you! :)

what is it that attracts you to Georgetown?

If it’s the Jesuit aspect that attracts you then perhaps Boston College and Villanova.

@fogcity Noo not the Jesuit thing that just happens to be the majority of colleges I end up looking at for some reason. I enjoy Georgetown’s academic standards and its proximity to the city.

Lehigh, Miami, GW, Syracuse–like that?

Tufts. Northwestern, Fordham, Johns Hopkins.

Georgetown is much more selective than Pepperdine, therefore many colleges fall between them in selectivity. Many colleges have high academic standards and urban/suburban locations. So, if you want good recommendations, it might help to be more specific about your preferences, your qualifications, and your financial situation.

You might like Northwestern, Tufts, and Johns Hopkins … but they are about as selective as Georgetown. Miami, GW, Villanova, and Fordham seem to match your specifications more closely. Also consider American University and Northeastern.

Do you need financial aid? If so, are you focusing on need-based or merit aid? Colleges mentioned so far are expensive private schools. As you move down in selectivity, the need-based aid tends to become less generous.
If you don’t qualify for need-based aid, but do need to keep costs down, then consider state universities (first in your home state, but also schools with relatively low prices for OOS students.)

I’m with @tk21769 and second GW and American for similar school to Georgetown. The AU campus is a bit more like Georgetown and GW has a very urban setting. If you’re into D.C., I’d highly recommend GW because of it’s easy access (easier than Georgetown) to the rest of the city. There’s a Metro stop on campus; the campus is walking distance to monuments, the White House, and the Kennedy Center; and there are tons more shops, bars, and clubs within walking distance if you so choose. Georgetown still has a great night life with M street, but that area is only a 20 minute walk from Foggy Bottom.

Good luck! D.C.'s awesome!!

For a variety of selectivity levels based on the range you gave: Tulane, Emory, DePaul, American, Pitt, Haverford (smaller but right by Philadelphia), University of Southern Carolina (Honors deadline Nov. 15), Boston College, Fordham, Macalester (in a city and internationally-focused).
