I wanted to post this before I forgot. My S is fresh out of high school, graduated last week, so of corse the question he gets almost daily is “where are you going to college”. He gets two consistent responses when he says Otterbein…

WOW Congratulations that’s a great program

Yes, when our oldest was initially asked about Otterbein, folks would consistently say “Oberlin?” and some other “O” schools. We eventually just started saying - right near Ohio State. That gets their attention. Perhaps, since you’re near CMU, the knowledge is even better, so Otterbein is recognized a bit more. Down near Philly it’s getting better since our youngest is there, but we still have a ways to go. You could always just say it’s where the Riddler in the new “Gotham” went to school! Cory graduated in '09. Have a great summer!

It’s definitely “Where?” here in Maine. There was one member of son’s High School faculty who grew up in Columbus and he was thoroughly impressed!! I was born and reared in Ann Arbor, and my first trip to Otterbein was also my first trip to Columbus, aka “The Dark Side” for anyone who is familiar with the rivalry between OSU and U of M.
