Are there any Oklahoma students/parents out there? How has the experience as a NMF been? That said, I am sad to say my son probably will not advance to finalist because of his SAT score. He is taking it one more time. His best scores add up to just over 2000, but he can't seem to do it all in one sitting. With a PSAT of 221, you'd think it wouldn't be this hard. He has also applied to Alabama simply because of the scholarship package that is also offered to semifinalists. We live in North Texas, so Bama seems really far away. We will be planning a visit to Alabama in early winter unless some miracle happens and he ends up being a finalist. OU seems like a perfect fit for him. The National Scholars Office planned an awesome visit, and my son loved all the engineering toys they have. Any advice/thoughts/info?

Yes, Bama would give him free tuition IF HE APPLIES to the school and submits his scholarship app by Dec 1st.

AND…since he’s an engineering major, he’d also get an additional $2500 per year (assuming that his M+CR score is at least a 1330. If it’s less than a 1330, he’d get an extra $1500)
