O.U. is committed to a diverse, inclusive community and has a strong LGBTQ community (if small). Here is a letter which just came out from the OU Administration, rejecting Betsy DeVos Dept of Ed. Trans Bathroom Reversal.

Dear Bobcat Community,
We are writing to reaffirm our commitment to OHIO’s diverse and inclusive community in the wake of this week’s issuance of a new “Dear Colleague Letter” by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. The new “Dear Colleague Letter” revoked previously issued statements of federal policy and guidance that protected the right of students to use restrooms that match their gender identity.
The new “Dear Colleague Letter” merely provides guidance about how enforcement will be handled by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. We have reviewed the Letter’s applicability, and while we believe that the Letter rolled back significant guidance to many schools and post-secondary institutions, it does not change our internal policies, practices, or values.
Ohio University remains fully committed to our transgender community. As you are aware, Policy 40.001, Equal Employment and Educational Opportunity, includes protections for all members of our campus community, visitors, and guests regardless of sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. The new “Dear Colleague Letter” will not affect our enforcement of this non-discrimination policy.
We have worked to increase the number of single-user, family, and gender inclusive restrooms across campus. We also support each individual’s autonomy to determine which restrooms are appropriate for their personal use.
Moreover, we remain committed to providing support and resources for all who identify as LGBTQA+. Resources include the LGBT Center located in Baker University Center, under the direction of delfin bautista and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Dean of Students office, University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance, Campus Care, Counseling and Psychological Services, Housing and Residential Life and a network of supportive faculty, staff, and students.
We are and shall remain a diverse and inclusive community that respects the individual rights and dignity of our students, colleagues, and guests.
Sincerely,
David Descutner
