I suppose I should cancel my NYU visit next weekend... :-(

Their middle average is a 1950. That means my scores aren't even on their radar...

i think a retake would be obvious

I got a 1660 in May. It's good to see people have scores near mine on this board, because it's extremely rare.

Have a 1610 here, and usually get around 1590-1630 on practice tests. I'm getting tired of practicing the test, since I couldn't really break 1800 on the SAT. But you also have an option of taking the ACT, you might do very well on it.

You will very likely not score significantly higher. You may score 1720 though. Anyway, what would you like to do? Paint, ride bike, play football, study design? You would get in.
Check the ivies, they ALWAYS have people in the low 600's. But, that's the ivies, and you do not HAVE to get in to one of those, so getting into other good schools might be possible.
You are not screwd. I know of a girl that got a full ride to Stanford without an SAT. She was in the swiming olimpic team, no of U.S. Of course she did not go to Stanford. She wanted to swim!

Hmm, I'd doubt the first sentence of what mafp said. There was a 110 point increase after my second take.

I went from a 1590 too a 1740 in two months without any studying.... will study this summer hopefully break 1800 : ) in oct ... i feel like a moron on this form

I got a 1790. Do I add the essay and writing multiple choice scores too?

I got an exact 1600 do I care, nope because unlike most people hear I would rather pee on HYP than go there, whats going to get me into college my ACT score, to those with a low SAT score try the ACT i'm very confident that you guys can do better on that test..
