New format still awful. But, is it just me or does the (still awful) light gray font look today like it’s more of a medium gray font??? Still

@CCadmin_Sorin Any updates from you and the team on where things stand - what will be getting fixed and what won’t? I know you’ve stated that going back to the old format won’t be happening but can you address other desired changes and tweaks posters are suggesting/requesting?
People that are having problem finding then going back to a thread.
I put it in like Google search bar so I don’t use the CC site at all. I just put in the first few letters into Google search and the forum I am searching for is there. It’s much faster then using the CC site.
Well, count me in with the other people who are leaving this site because of the formatting change. While my usage was lower than when my kid was applying to college, I still was on every day because I really enjoyed seeing what was going on with some of the kids/parents that I got to know, and I enjoyed putting in my 2 cents on issues where I thought I could be helpful or share an unvoiced opinion. Now it’s just not fun anymore, and to be honest, I’m shocked that formatting could have such a big effect. But I find that I’m not able to get nearly as much information out of the site; I have to scroll, and scroll and scroll, and hunt and peck to find where I want to go, and even then it’s hard. And it’s distracting to see all this extra space. So, thanks CC for all the information you gave me in the past, but I think my time here has come to an end. Best wishes to everyone here.
So I went to my computer to try to use this site. I don’t know how you people do it. For me, it’s much easier from my Android phone. Couldn’t see where to make a new post but on the phone it’s right there.
Again, too much on the page to even attempt to concentrate for me. Plus I use the Brave browser on by phone and it blocks all the ads and video’s. I have no reason to use it on my pc besides this site. Crazy.
On a computer, in the top right hand corner of every page, there is a box called New Discussion to start a new thread.
I hope we hear what may be fixed - or if there is a plan.
But keep in mind, if the news is not good for posters - meaning little change is expected- that will may be an open door that some truly choose to exit to leave - for good. So…in that case, an announcement of “I’ve got bad news” might not happen.
We are now almost three weeks in…and what revisions do we have to show for it compared to day one? Bueller?
If it’s being updated why not get the reply button to auto-input the name of the person you’re replying to. It still isn’t working. ?
Why can’t I jump to the first page of very long threads?
This new format is one of the worst I’ve seen on any discussion forum. I find myself avoiding this place because of it.
To think an intelligent group of people got together and came to the same conclusion that this is a good product is pretty remarkable…smh.
Too much change for me. We recently changed our software at work, too. I hate it and I hate the new CC. Spawn of Satan. I won’t be around much anymore. 
@itsgettingreal17 Someone on this thread pointed out that it’s portrait mode on a cell that doesn’t include the first page (in the range of post numbers just above he Reply box.)
When I turn the cell it to landscape, it does show page one as an option. See if that works for you.
I know this is fruitless, but please, please change this format!! As I posted originally, I don’t post much but I have been reading, learning and enjoying this site for 10+ years and now I find myself avoiding it which makes me sad and angry. I don’t understand the need to change something that worked so well. UGGGGG!

Landscape doesn’t work with the forum on my phone. I just get a small square with a useless portion of the forum in view. And no, my screenlock isn’t on.
Has anyone clicked on “about” and read “what we do”/How we do it”? The community forum gets lots of credit for being a big part of what they offer, that CC was “born front he threads of community, with students, parents and counselors helping each other…”.
So why treat the community that made cc what it is so poorly? Please listen to us… and pony up and fix this. forum.
I’m late to the complaining party but I’m going to add my $.02.
I’ve been sporadically checking in since the update, and it is not growing on me. Too much white space, the type is not easy to read, too much clicking to find what I want, and way too much scrolling necessary on both my laptop and my Android phone.
Along with those common complaints, I really dislike that it’s not possible to check someone’s posting history without logging in. Like many visitors, I lurked a while before deciding to officially join the site. What finally convinced me to join was the desire to ask questions of particular posters. And it was reading posters’ history of posts that showed the vast experience and knowledge of particular posters. If I had had to log in before having all of that info, I probably would not have joined.
As it stands now, I will only occasionally check CC for improvements and if changes are not forthcoming my days here may be numbered. The owners of CC must be convinced that new members will be more lucrative to their advertisers than the older members they are discouraging.
Oddly, on my iPhone, when I turn it…this site does not go into landscape mode. BUT I did notice that when turned, the screen appears upside down…and does have the page numbers starting with one.
Adding that every other thing on my phone just goes sideways into landscape when I turn my iPhone.
Another glitch, I guess.
Navigating the new site is getting easier for me but I’ve yet to be able to scroll past page 3 of the latest posts. With the old format, I would usually go back to where I left off previously in the day. The scrolling and scrolling and scrolling, coupled with the eye strain caused by all the white space, makes that impossible for me. Because the forum pages require so much effort to get to and the latest post link is front and center, I find that I most just scan the first page and then call it quits. I’m sure I’m missing lots and lots of posts.
Still very disappointed in the “improvements”.
On my android there is no problem turning the phone but when I go into landscape (sidewards) the numbers from 1 on do appear.
@thumper1 My iPhone 7 goes into landscape mode as expected when rotated and I also see the numbers from 1 on.
