my school is out of 100 ( the grades) what is the conversion to the 4.0 and how do they affect my chances at getting accepted into a good college?

[How to Convert Your GPA to a 4.0 Scale](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>How to Convert (Calculate) Your GPA to a 4.0 Scale – BigFuture)
I personally don’t like the conversion, but I hope it helps

Go through your grade history. For each A (at my school 93-100) mark 4, B (85-92) mark 3, and so on.
I dont like the conversions. My cousin in NY had a 98 UW GPA so on the previous scale (that the previous poster posted) he had a 4.0. Except when he did what I suggest, he had a 3.73 (he has really good at everything except math and science, which he got like 92s in)

I don’t think the actual number matters, only your ranking among your classmates (top 5%, 10%, 25%). If you’re in the top 10% you’re good :)

Wow BZVA, a 92 is a B? Harsh… At my school an A is the same, but we have A-'s (90-92), B+'s (87-89), and then a B’s (83-86).

You can also just get the average of all your grades and divide it by 25 to get a rough idea of your 4.0 scale.

whschaps. That also is a bit misleading. A kid on a 4.0 scale could get straight 93s and maintain a 4.0, while a 93 kid on a 4.0 conversion would end up with a 3.72.

The only way to do it fairly is to have a copy of the applicant’s full transcript.

Your school probably provides a grade conversion table with each transcript. Ask your guidance office to show you a copy.
