I was talking to my guidance counselor today about the different college decisions, and she couldn't really answer a question I had about ED. For the most part, if you submit your application to a school ED way before the due date (like, in October), will admissions review your application upon receipt and notify you of their decision as soon as they have come to it, or will they wait to send it out with the rest of the decisions? I know that some schools in general review applications as soon as they get them and then send out acceptances/rejections ASAP, so I'm curious to know if this practice applies to ED at some schools as well.

I am under the impression that ED generally entails Rolling admissions. Frankly, I'm not sure, since I didn't apply ED.

Depends on the school.

No, ED does not have rolling admissions. All ED apps are reviewed together, and all ED decisions are sent out at the same time.

Agree with Very ^^^^.

Thanks for your replies. I was pretty sure that most schools wait until they receive all the ED applications before reviewing them, but my counselor (who, honestly, should know this >_>) didn't seem very confident.
