Out of curiosity...

Is there anyway a scholarship you have earned (that goes straight to the University) can be used on paying a student or federal loan?

Well…at the end of each year, if you have a balance in your bursars account, you SHOULD be given the option of a refund or carrying over that balance to pay for the upcoming year. If you request a refund…then you can use it to pay your student loan bill.

If you KNOW that you are getting a scholarship…you could also make the decision up front to NOT accept the student loan.
