Out of State Admission?

<p>How much harder would you say it is to gain admittance to UCLA if you live out of state, like I do? Now, I am a legacy, but I don't think that will count for a tremendous amount. My GPA could use a little work, and I have time to improve it. My extracurriculars are phenomenal and my recommendations will be, almost assuredly, equally fantastic. However, I'm now starting to sound like I'm asking for someone to chance me...I'm not. Just answer the above question, if you please.</p>

<p>This year, the admissions rate for out of state / international was around 18% I think.</p>

<p>Admissions of OOS are expected to go up next year as a result of the budget crunch - you pay the full ride so UCLA gets to pocket the extra cash.</p>
