I am looking at some good recs from my AP Comp Sci and AP US History teachers and probably from Principal at the school I volunteer at...what do you guys think my chances are, Chapel Hill is definitely my first choice. Also, do you think it would help to apply early next year?

sure go for it

Go for it, I got in and I'm a white boy from NJ (which supposedly makes admission harder for alot of east coast schools, due to the amount of applications from here). I had a similar GPA to you, better SATs, and zero extracurriculars with the exception of lacrosse and ski club. Stop stressing, it won't help.
