out of state applying

im an out-of-stater applying to penn state

does anybody know how chances are for out-of-staters? i know PSU is supposed to be one of the most selective publics in the country but i can't find anything on its acceptance rate for out of state so...any help?

also: what are the chances of not making it to the main PSU campus?

Most everything depends on your stats: GPA and SAT.

Here is the general stats link:
<a href="http://www.psu.edu/admissions/steps/understanding/fyprofile.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.psu.edu/admissions/steps/understanding/fyprofile.htm</a></p>

About 20-25% of students at PSU are out of state.

ok...i currently have a 3.87 UW (out of 4.0) and 1460 composite for reading (750) and math (710), so it looks like i am safe.

is out of state applying at penn state harder than at UVA or is it comparable, or easier?

Xe....you shoul apply for the honors college. Its well worth a shot. You have the stats

psu admissions told us they evaluate oos and pa applications equally.

UVA is much harder for OOS students!! Honors college at PSU is pretty tough to get into but probably still not as hard as UVA OOS.
