Would being OOS kill me?

Should add that my potential major would be linguistics, and my grades back that up (High English/Foreign Language, low math :()

Anyone have an opinion?

your stats look good. above the middle 50%. but yeah being an OOS is going against you.
I'm also applying to UCSC and also an OOS. I have a lower stat, and a CCer told me I have a chance getting in, so might as well

You have a really good chance of getting in. You have to consider that the average they post on the official website includes people's GPAs that got into Berkeley/LA/privates, and listed UCSC as a safety. The incoming class' statistics are almost certainly going to be lower.
