Out of State chances at UGA

Hi!
I’m going into my senior year in September, which means applications start soon! I’ve wanted to go to the University of Georgia for the longest time, it’s my top choice, but I don’t know whether I should apply EA or RD, or if I would even get in.

I’m out of state (New York) and need no financial aid/scholarship whatsoever.
I attend a rigorous and competitive high school. My GPA is a 3.5/3.6 (90.967)
I’ve taken one AP class (Bio), I’m in language honors, I’ve been in First Honors (90 and up) all of high school and I’m in NHS
SAT 1860 (horrible for me, I’m taking it again in October) Reading 610 Math 600 Writing 650
SAT II in US History with a 610, and I’m taking another SAT II

I’ve been involved in countless community service programs (20 hours each year in high school)
I’ve had a paid internship at an insurance firm this summer, as well as other work like childcare.
I’ve been part of student council for 2 years, and I hold an executive position in NHS.
I also have been taking precollege courses in photography at the FIT in the city for 3 years now.
I’ve also been involved in the music program at my school

I don’t know if this would hurt or help as well: I’m applying for the Insurance/Risk Management Program, which I know is the top in the country, and the business program at UGA itself is a good one.

i know I’m a little below the average accepted, but college calculators tell me I’ll get in. Soooo, What are my chances?

Nothing about your application will make you stand out among the OOS crowd. If you know that you want to go there and can afford it, I would apply ED. It would greatly help your chances.

Just curious…why would a NY resident want to attend UGA where the student body is almost exclusively instate students???

UGA is the top school for the major I’m looking for, I also fell in love the times I saw it. I love the campus, faculty, and students
