out of state chances?

<p>my gpa is 3.44
sat:1100(math-540, reading-560)
ill finish with 3 ap's and a few EC's such as wrewtling and deca
i live in VA and i was wondering if i am put at a disadvantage when applying to schools such as mississippi st. and alabama university. and if i am at a disadvantage, how much?</p>

<p>I think you have a good shot at alabama and missisipi state your stats seem good for both.</p>

<p>I don’t think so 43% of the student body for Alabama is OOS. You should be fine. As for Mississippi state around 35% of the student body is OOS so i don’t think you’ll be at a huge disadvantage but do keep in mind state schools favor in state students(but some like IU would like to have students oos who can also pay full price). </p>
