I'm not posting my stats as of yet, because I am a junior, but it seems very very difficult to get into out of state (I'm from NJ). I loved UCLA when I visited in November. Aside from the great location, it was just a beautiful campus, its big which I like, good academically, good business program, and they have great activities and sports teams. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting a 1500 on my SATs, and I'd be quite lucky to get 750+ on SATII. Anyone think its possible for someone to get in with a 3.9 uw GPA SATI ~1400, and SATII~700, no urm or legacy? That is what I would estimate my app to look like. Just wondering if anyone has gotten in with similar stats out of state, or knows anyone who has.

Why couldn't my parents just live in California?

Would you mind sharing your exact stats flopsy? I'm just trying to get an idea if I should abandon hope in getting into UCLA, or at least think I have an OK chance. Seems like all the people I see on these boards applying to UCLA out of state all have 1500 or close to it and 750+ on SAT II. I'm hoping good recs, a good essay, a high GPA, and good work experience may help me get noticed next year. We'll see.

Asian male, no legacy, high-income background (not that it actually matters)
