I'm from Texas, so I'm not really sure what the criteria for out-of-staters are, so it would be very helpful if I could get some opinions. Thanks a bunch

No..
At our school, AP classes are weighted with 15 extra points and Pre-AP classes are weighted with 10 extra points. Non-scholastic classes (Band, Tennis, Peer tutor, other electives, etc.) do not count on GPA. So, I only had one non-AP or pre-AP class throughout high school. This said, the GPA for number 2 at my school was around 104...

Also, laxguy, would you say out of state criteria for UVA is almost equal to the lower ivies (dartmouth, cornell, brown, etc.)?

Thank you very much everyone for your opinions! I think I'm starting to get a much better view of the type of people applying to Virginia, as well as the out of state admission criteria. I like what I see!
