Chances are about as good as anyone's I'd say. UVA and WM admissions are fairly unpredictable for out of staters but I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it!

does anyone know the admission rate for out of staters?

it's pretty low. I think there was a thread about this before, with the number? Around 15% maybe.

I think you have a solid shot. Definitely worth the application time + fee.

anyone else?...

Daughter and I visited W&M today. According to admissions, last year 10,650 students applied and of those 65% were oos and 35% instate. The instate acceptance rate is in the neighborhood of 45-50%. Great academics and beautiful campus.

4 years ago, the Out of State Acceptance rate was about 25%. I would guess it is probably around 22-23% now.

Good luck!
