don’t know whether to apply pre-admit, or lsa then switch over either

Not sure what you mean by ‘Michigan system,’ but whether you’re counting B+'s as 3.3 or 3.0 (Bs are all counted as 3.0 when you’re applying), your GPA is low. It’s a longshot for preadmit and lsa.

UMich doesn’t recalculate GPA anymore, so what you see on your transcript is what they use for admissions decisions.

Does U-Mich consider AP test scores, or as long as you pass you are fine?

I have taken 8 AP classes/tests entering senior year (passed all of them) but did not get a 5 on all of them.

Hopefully Mich considers rigor of study over test scores

AP test scores are submitted for credit, and as far as I know, not factored into admissions decisions.

little to no chance. GPA is highly weighted in terms of admission.

very, extremely low chance for ross. the admissions statistics were 2300 students applied, around 1200 were accepted to UMich and of those around 300 or so were accepted to Ross. and of those, 110 matriculated.
average admitted GPA was 4.14
average ACT was 33
average SAT was 1492

dont know too much about LSA though. i do know that 65% of michigan students were in the top 5% of their class

Does UMich focus more on weighted GPA or unweighted. In my case, it’s a difference of a 3.2 to a 3.9 given all the Honors and AP courses I’ve taken.

Unweighted, as many schools do not weight GPA for honors and AP courses. Using unweighted gives a universal point to judge everyone on, I suppose. Although, they recently changed this to “whatever is on your transcript is what will be used for admissions decisions.” I’m not quite sure how this works, though.

Thanks for the reply. On the transcript, both GPAs are listed, so hopefully they’ll take that into consideration.
