what is my chance for out of state with these stats:

Can anyone help me with my chances to getting in to one of my choices with out of state status:
Black male
Current TN resident (recently moved 4rm IN)
First Gen college student

Here are my stats:
GPA 3.2 UW(2.9 Freshman year but it has risen every semester, 2 3.55 semesters junior year)
SAT:700 verbal 640 math 610 on the stupid writing
ACT:28 Eng 27 math 30 reading 33 science 30 comp
Venture Scholar
National Achievement semi's (pending finalist notification)
2 time regional finalist in track
DECA state finalist (E-commerce)
only taken 1 AP so far but taking AP Calc and AP Bio in my senior year as well as honors eng.

I would say you are chances are VERY strong..! :)

Probably good, but if you haven't already, apply NOW. They have rolling admissions and you will find out soon, but it is not binding. This is especially true for the school of engineering. It does fill up earlier than many of the others.

lol... already got accepted but thanks though

not surprised... the minority factor is a huge plus

umm... actually purdue doesnt consider minority status

from what ive seen for both black and whites or whatever all you need for purdue is like a 3.0 and decent test scores and your in... unless your applying for engineering or another competitive program or you apply late

well, maybe he'll be looking at some sweet financial aid, then...

terry - you got accepted to Purdue? CONGRATS!

How is Ohio U looking for you? Have you heard from them?

yep.. got accepted to ou a couple of days ago.. right now it looks like im going to ou .. although u of dayton is still in the picture and purdue is a slight possibility
